From schoolchildren to flowers

Blomsterbien opened on 2 June 2020 in part of the old secondary school building on Slotsgade in Tranekær. Behind the shop is Ditte Højerslev Olin, a former teacher who traded schoolchildren for flowers.

Bouquets, gifts and a cup of coffee

The shop hand-ties fresh bouquets, wreaths and decorations, and the selection reaches well beyond flowers. The sign by the entrance advertises "wine, flowers, specialties and crafts," and inside an old chalkboard also offers coffee, water or ice cream, plus homemade cake with fruit. Outside, tables and chairs are set up for those who'd like to pause a while.
