Østerhuse Strand
A cosy beach off Østerhusevej with a swimming jetty and shelter from westerly winds — also a beautiful spot for sunrise.
Østerhuse Strand sits at the end of a path down to the coast off Østerhusevej, not far from Lohals. When the wind comes from the west, the beach is sheltered, as there are slopes down to the water in several places that block the wind. There are quite a few stones in the water, worth keeping in mind if you're heading in for a swim.
A swimming jetty makes it easy to reach deeper water, and the spot has a relaxed, cosy feel. Facing east, Østerhuse Strand is also one of the really good places to watch the sunrise.
